CCL GSO Campus Celebrates Art & Leadership as It Resumes Hosting Public Artists’ Receptions

The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)® today announced the relaunch of its public artists’ receptions, with the “Unexpected Treasures” event to be held on Friday, August 12, 2022. The reception will showcase the work of local and regional artists with pieces currently on display throughout the Greensboro campus.

The “Unexpected Treasures” collection, which features artists Kathy Brusnighan, Laura Clisset, Vicki Johnson, Susan Lange, Jean Smith, and Ashley Walters, will be available for viewing during the public reception on August 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. EDT, at our Greensboro location.

“From fiber to mixed media, oils to charcoal, and abstract to realism, there is something for everyone within the ‘Unexpected Treasures’ collection,” said CCL art curator Laura Gibson.

“CCL recognizes the deep connections between art, leadership, purpose, and innovation, and how art can contribute to an inspiring space. We’re thrilled to reprise our public receptions and welcome the community back into our building for the first time since early 2020 to celebrate local art.”

Over 350 artists have exhibited at our Greensboro campus since 2012 as part of the CCL art program. In that time, over 1,900 pieces of art have been displayed; over 3,000 patrons have attended art receptions; and over $100,000 worth of art has been sold, with no commission being taken by CCL.

Public viewings of “Unexpected Treasures” are also available by appointment. Interested individuals can schedule a visit for Friday afternoons from August 5 through November 18, 2022. Contact Ms. Gibson at 336-708-2495 to inquire.
