Boehringer Ingelheim & CCL Win Prestigious Brandon Hall Awards

An innovative effort to develop high-potential leaders by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL)® and leading pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) has earned multiple prestigious awards by the research and analyst firm Brandon Hall Group through its annual Human Capital Management (HCM) Excellence Awards.

  • 2023:
    • Gold Award for excellence in the category of Best Advance in Leadership Development
    • Bronze Award in the category of Best Unique or Innovative Leadership Program
  • 2017:
    • Silver Award for excellence in the category of Best Advance in Leadership Development

CCL and BI were honored for the Acceleration Program, which prepares rising leaders to execute strategy in the face of change and complexity. The intensive 9-month program blends face-to-face and virtual learning that is supported by assessments, coaching, a simulation, and special projects. The initiative has significantly expanded BI’s leadership pipeline, bolstered leadership effectiveness, and helped create a flexible and mobile network of employees globally.

“Excellence Award winners symbolize the power and impact that human capital management practices can have on a business or on any organization,” said Rachel Cooke, Chief Operating Officer of Brandon Hall Group.

A panel of independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall analysts, and executives evaluated award entries for fit, design, functionality, innovation, and measurable benefits. Winners will be recognized at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference.

“The Acceleration Program has evolved significantly over our multiple-year partnership with CCL,” said Michael Murphy, Director of Sustainable Development at Boehringer Ingelheim. “We’re consistently evaluating the program’s effectiveness and impact on developing world-class leaders for BI. We’re thrilled to know our close collaboration has resulted in this industry recognition as a best-in-class model!”
